How to Upgrade WordPress 2.8

After a few days it does not peek dashboard my blog , this morning when I open, at the top of the dashboard there is a notice of "WordPress 2.8 is available! Please update now. "Apparently the blog engine WordPress 2.8 has been officially released on June 10, 2009.

There are several new features and improvement WordPress interesting such as:

• This version is relatively faster than the previous version
• It's easier to change the theme with the new on the Appearance menu in the Add New Themes that allows us to search for free wordpress themes available as well as upload and install our theme directly from the hard drive without having to bother to upload them first to our blog hosting. This facility is certainly very easy for users new wordpress not really understand the ins and outs of wordpress. (Including me .. xixixixi)
• Another interesting feature is the development of the widget. In this version, we are much easier to manage because all the sidebar widgets that appear instantly we got right next to the dashboard so we are much easier to control and manage. The addition of one widget on the sidebar that we could have done with drag n drop.

How to update / upgrade wordpress 2.8 is as follows:

• Click the link "Please update now!" Which is at the top of the dashboard
• Click on "Upgrade Automatically". Do not forget to backup databases and files in advance to anticipate unwanted things.
• Wait until the process is completed
• Click on your dashboard, login using your user name and password
• Taadaa .. wordpress engine we've updated to wordpress 2.8
